Friday Favorites!

This week has felt long. Period. I don't understand why some people feel that being rude is the way to go if a problem arises. While I know there are many nice people in this world, there are also a lot of mean and miserable people too. I have to try not to let the actions of others bother me, but sometimes that's easier said than done. On a "brighter" note tomorrow is the big day, my first half marathon and I am all sorts of emotions, happy, excited, anxious, very nervous and even a little scared. While this week wasn't horrible it wasn't the best either, but these few things made my days a little brighter.

Friday Favorites!

With recent events in my life, I've learned to appreciate the littlest things and jump at any opportunity that comes my way. 6 months into 2014 and I have done more things that have made me feel out of my "comfort" zone than normal, but with that I've learned to live in the moment and appreciate these times because I don't want life to just pass me by. Enjoy your weekend!

My Good Luck Elephant

Saturday I was lucky enough to finally meet the one animal I am literally in love with at the Zoo, no not Luna {though she is up there} it was Surapa the Asian Elephant. She has been at the Buffalo Zoo since she was a baby. Elephants are one of my favorite animals ever, so having the chance to meet her up close, feed her celery, watch her paint and do some tricks was one of the best things I've ever had the opportunity to do. Having my niece and sister with me made it even more special. Mindy her trainer was awesome, she gave us a background on the elephants, the elephant house and what she does there. Overall it was a great time and I couldn't be luckier. I was able to cross something off my bucket list. While we were there we also stopped by to see Luna and Kali and many more animals. Don't forget that you can see the animals at Buffalove Fest on May 30 at the Zoo. Proceeds go directly back to helping the animals!

The week has come to an end and I'm looking forward to meeting Surapa the Elephant tomorrow at the Buffalo Zoo, I'm like a little kid in a candy shop that's how excited I am! My parents leave for Europe this weekend. I was lucky enough to go overseas while I was in high school and it was amazing. Learning about different cultures, being in a different environment, makes me so excited for my parents because I know they're going to have a great time. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and for all you Mother's out there, have a wonderful Mother's Day because you deserve it! xo

My #12

ralph Like a majority of people in Buffalo, my heart is saddened by the passing of Mr. Wilson earlier this week. While I never had the pleasure of meeting him, from what I do know he was a great, loyal man who loved Buffalo, loved football and loved what he did. While there is no clear description of what will happen to the Buffalo Bills in the future I can't thank Mr. Wilson enough for all he has done for this community. He did a lot of amazing things in his life and is a great example of someone who never forgot who he was. He brought a great team to this town and kept them here and because of that we are all connected to each other. May he rest in peace and watch over his family and the Buffalo Bills Organization.

He was Buffalo's biggest fan and now he will be our angel in the sky.
