I am not a writer by no means, I don’t even consider myself a real blogger. My intentions for Just a Blonde in Buffalo were to talk about my experiences, the places I go, people I meet and things I do in town and if people read my posts great, if not, that’s ok too.

Every now and then I post things that have no relation to Buffalo, they are just my thoughts and feelings during a particular time in my life. I’ve mentioned this in past posts, but 2014 has definitely been a year of growth, appreciation and just living the life that has been given to me.

A lot of times I get ideas, thoughts and even reflect on things when I’m in the car. I don’t know why, but I think that’s just my “spot,” my “thing.” One of my biggest goals is to inspire people to do what they want to do, to bring out the best in them and for them to know that they can do whatever they put their mind to.

We are only brought into this world for a short time and I feel like a lot of us don’t get what we want out of life. I think one of the reasons I have been doing things I never thought I would do {snowboarding, a half marathon, speed dating, etc.} is because I’m just an average person who believe it or not is shy and insecure, but I want to show people that we all can do things if we just put our minds to it.

Each day is an opportunity to do something great, to make a memory and appreciate one another. If we all put in a positive attitude and did something nice for someone, even if its just holding the door open, saying good morning with a smile on your face or letting someone in your lane on the road, it would make you feel good because you did an act of kindness.

I am by far not perfect, no one is, but at this point in my life, I’m learning what is important to me, what I want to be known for and what really matters.

“I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw something back.” – Maya Angelou

And these are my thoughts for today.
